FIELD TRIPS
Students will go to the Chisholm Trail Heritage Center in Duncan, OK on September 28th. Parent Consent form
In place of the last Field trip students were able to attend the "Dome Threatre" and viewed a 3-D Animated Science Video about how Earth was formed.
Class Work
WEEK 17 - Students will watch an animated history video about Thomas Edison. Then students will learn about Energy Conservation and Energy Efficiency
WEEK 16 - Students will watch an animated history video about Abraham Lincoln.
WEEK 15 - Students will watch an animated history video about George Washington. Then students will watch an An Animated Atlas.
WEEK 14 - Students will watch an animated history video about Harriet Tubman. Next, students will listen and read along about a slaves trip on the Underground Railroad.
WEEK 13 - Students will watch an animated history video about Joan of Arc. Since Joan of Arc's heart was very big and brave we will study about the Heart. Next students will learn about their Lung Volume.
As a group everyone will read Heart Facts.
Reaction Experiment
WEEK 12 - First students will come in and write a message using Invisible Ink. Then, students will watch an animated history video about Helen Keller and the video explaining how the eye works Eye.
Students will complete the online interactive tutorial explaining How We See.
Optics
WEEK 11 - Students will watch an animated history video about Beethoven. Then students will learn about how the Ear works. Next, students will read Sound Facts.
After this, students will learn how sounds can change at the interactive activity Changing Sounds.
Finally, we will listen to Beethoven's music: Beethoven's 5th,
Ode to Joy,
Minuet in G, .
Moonlight Sonata, .
Ecossaise, .
Fur Elise, .
Now, we can make our own music Making More Music, Playing with scales, Pitch, or Games with Pitch.
Students may also learn about other composers
WEEK 10 - Students will watch an animated history video about Marco Polo. Students will then look at a globe and see how far Marco Polo traveled.
Students will review the following online activities about changing liquids to solids before continuing on to the "Science Experiment of the Day".

WEEK 9 - Students will watch an animated history video about Leonardo da Vinci.
Students will learn that he was a Scientist, Inventor, and Artist.
Students will watch a video of Leonardo da Vinci's car.
Finally, Students will learn about physical and chemical changes by making pudding.
WEEK 8 - Students will watch an animated history video about The Wright Brothers. Next, students will watch a video about Flight Aerodynamics.
Students will then go to the Introduction to Flight and read and practice the activities.
Next, students will build a Helicopter.
WEEK 7 - Students will watch an animated history video about Maccabees. This will be a cultural experience in the classroom. Students will play the Dreidel game - a Jewish game and see who can reach 100 first.
What is Chanukah?
Now, students will find Israel on the World Atlas and then see if they can learn where the Middle Eastern countries are on a map.
WEEK 6 - Students will watch a video about Florence Nightingale. Next,students will finish making the hand puppets and produce the video scheduled for last week.
After watching the Bacteria video to see how germs and bacteria grow.
Next, students will continue learning about Nutrition doing the following online activities.

WEEK 5 - Students will watch a video about the Wampanoag Indians and then students will make hand puppets and produce a video play.

WEEK 4 - Student will watch an animated history video about William Bradford in class and then go to the computer to read about The Mayfower.
Since this is Thanksgiving and this holiday is usually celebrated around having a dinner with family and friends we should study about nutrition. Students will go to Nutrition for Kids and listen, read and interact with the infomation provided.
Students will then begin to learn the states of the United States - click here.
Next, students will select the state when it is called - click here.
Then, students will drag the correct state to the correct place on the map - click here.

WEEK 1 - Students will watch an animated history video about Christopher Columbus in class and then work on the interactive coloring pages.
Students will work on building their vocabulary each week by going to the game Synonyms
Next students will create a book. Go to the following site Let's Book It read the sample books then write one of their very own.
Students will also work on building their Math Skills by working on the Math Games.
Student will begin learning about the state - the names and locations on a map at United States Map.
LEARN ABOUT THE WATER CYCLE - Watch the video about the Water Cycle - Water Cycle and then take the Quiz1 or Quiz2 and see how you do. Next, try to answer Where does the water go?. How do you remember the "Water Cycle"? Sing the song!!!!
