Frederick High School "Interact Club" sponsored a Blood Drive! - Integrity!
Frederick High School Many FHS students and community members donated blood throughout the day. Donations exceeded the goal for the first time in three years. Students not only donated but some helped register, load and unload the equipment. This is a very worthwhile commitment for the students as well as the Oklahoma Blood Institute.

FES 1st Grade teacher, Carla Loveday, is rewarding students who have worked very hard on their Math Facts in class.Using A program called MATH FACTS IN A FLASH students must answer 40 problems correctly in less than 2 minutes to move up a level in the program.Every two weeks students who have mastered a level are invited to Eat with the Teacher. Each level gets more difficult.Students' use the NEO's that Frederick Elementary School received in a grant.

Frederick Middle School students selected to be published in the Anthology of Poetry by Young Americans! - Excellence!
Frederick Middle School Language Art classes of Max Clayton, Karen Schoonover, and Jennifer Blackford had students submit poetry to the Anthology of Poetry by Young Americans and a number of students have been selected to be published. If parents return the permission forms promptly these students will have their poems published and the books will be delivered in April.

Frederick High School students selected for Show Choir! - Excellence!
Several of the Frederick High School Varsity Choir students were selected to sing in the Chorvettes Stageworks Company Show Choir from a video entry. After rehearsing all day students performed excerpts from the Broadway production Footloose, Saturday, January 14th at Durant, in the Southeastern Oklahoma State University Montgomery Auditorium.

Frederick High School Athletic Fund Raiser! - Relationships!
The Frederick High School Athletic Department is selling chances to win the 46-Star United States Flag that was crocheted and donated by Lana Fry. We would like to graciously thank Lana Fry for her donation of this beautiful and historic item. All proceeds from the ticket sales will go to the Frederick Schools Athletics Program. The drawing will be on Saturday, January 28, at our homecoming games. Winners do not have to be present to win.

Frederick High School Environmental Science Guest speaker! - Cooperation!
Andy Bennett with the U.S.C.F.S. recently spoke with Wendy Howard's A.P. Environmental Science classes about the importance of soil, conservation, and planning in our area. Mr. Bennett also discussed careers in agriculture related science.

Frederick Middle School Choir receive a Limeades for Learning grant! - Cooperation!
Frederick Middle School choirs assembled their new YAMAHA piano today! The instrument was purchased with money from Sonic Limades for Learning and private donations, from Classie Nolan, Jennifer Blackford, Brad Benson, Carisa Schreiner, and Rebecca Stevens. The remaining balance was paid with proceeds from the Middle School musical Alice in Wonderland.

Frederick Elementary Library receives grant from the Frederick School Enrichment Foundation! - Cooperation!
Howard M. McBee, the original chairman of the Frederick School Enrichment Foundation, set up an endowment within the Foundation, the income to be utilized by the McBee Library in the Frederick Grade School. Loyd Benson, Chairman of the Foundation, presents the annual grant to Pam Booker, representing the McBee Library, for further enhancement of the opportunities of students at the Frederick Grade School.

Frederick Bombers Boys Basketball place 3rd in Farmer's Bank Classic! - Excellence!
Bombers played a tough game against the Snyder Cyclones in the Farmer's Bank Classic in Carnegie. Bombers won 53-45.

Frederick Bomber NCA All-American Cheerleader performed in the Disney Parks Christmas Day Parade! - Excellence!
Frederick Bomber Cheerleader recently travelled to Walt Disney World to perform in the Disney Parks Christmas Day Parade. Howard cheered with 500 other girls from across the U.S. with the NCA (National Cheerleading Association) and NDA (National Dance Alliance). Howard was selected NCA All-American cheerleader this summer while at cheer camp at the University of Oklahoma with the Frederick High School cheer squad. The parade aired on Christmas Day from 11:00-1:00 on ABC.
