FHS Anatomy & Physiology classes have been studying the skeletal system. In this lab, pictured, students are dissecting owl pellets and using their knowledge of the skeletal system to re-piece the skeletons of the animals the owl regurgitated.

Kelvin Schoonover and Melynda Hickman explained the process of restoring this area to a wetland habitat, its ecological importance, and gave them a tour of both the visitors center and the wetland area. Frederick High School Student Council Cancer Awareness Fundraiser - Integrity!
During Sept. 12-16, Oklahoma's Win-Win Week for cancer awareness schools across the state participated in a competition to raise the most money in their OSSAA class for the Oklahoma Cancer Center. FHS Student Council organized several fund-raising events and promoted cancer awareness to raise donations for this cause.Team members in all sports wore pink promoting awareness. The FHS Student Council sold Pink Bomber Shirts and donated the proceeds to this project. Community members donated to Win-Win Week, though the high school. On Wed., Nov. 9th FHS Student Council presented Robin Niemen a representative of the Oklahoma Cancer Foundation, a check for $5,000. This will make FHS eligible to have a room name after the school at the Peggy and Charles Stephenson Oklahoma Cancer Center Center in OKC.

The Altus PI group held a Greenhand Quiz Contest and an Opening Ceremonies Team Contest on Thursday, October 27th at the Great Plains Area Technology Center in Frederick. Frederick's FFA Opening Ceremonies Team of Cordelle Elsener, Courtney Haynes, Shelby Duggins, Colton Middick, Liza Van der Laan and Leanne Van der Laan placed 4th in the overall Opening Ceremonies Contest. Frederick High School Fast-Pitch Softball Subway Player of the Week! - Excellence!
Lady Bomber junior pitcher has been named the Subway Player of the Week for the opening week of the season. In the circle, 4-1 with a .62 ERA and 52 strikeouts in 34 innings. Named the most outstanding pitcher at the Cushing Fall Classic Tournament where she helped the Lady Bombers to a second place finish. At the plate, hitting .364 with eight hits, five runs, & four RBI as the Lady Bombers went 6-2 for the week.The Lady Bombers would like to thank Subway & Jim Ard for sponsoring the Player of the Week. Lady Bomber sophomore outfielder has been named the Subway Player of the Week for the week of August 15th, 2011.
