Scholarship Reminder
Tillman County Farm Bureau FFA Scholarship-one $250 given to FHS senior Must be a Frederick FFA Student.

Express Personnel Scholarship-2-$250 scholarship will be given to FHS seniors. Deadline is April 1-at the present time I have none turned in!

AG Preference Scholarship-parent must be a customer of Ag Preference-Deadline is March 31

Cameron University-if a senior if planning to attend Cameron and qualify for OHLAP they have to apply for the Cameron Gold by April 1 to receive this additional money that will cover fees/books!

Eta Gamma Scholarship-will be given to one FHS Senior-Deadline is March 28 (FRIDAY)..........

Nick Wasinger Memorial Scholarship

OSU Sports Media Summer Camp 2008 will be held June 11-15, 2008. Camp begins Wednesday, June 11 at 4 p.m. and will conclude on Sunday, June 15 at noon. This camp offers practical experience in broadcasting play-by-play, production and print journalism with experiences professors and professionals, including Dave Hunziker, the voice of the OSU Cowboys, and guest speaker Holly Rowe, ESPN Reporter. Cost of the camp for day campers is $575 and Cost for overnight campers is $675. Participants must 16 years or older. Space is limited. For more information you can go to OSU Sportsmedia

Students that will be entering the 8th-12th grades in the fall 2008 may be interested in applying to attend one of the twenty-two free summer academies through the state of Oklahoma. Highlights and subject areas from some of the academies include: robotics, forensics, aerospace, architecture, Oklahoma's energy sources, biotechnology, engineering, creating video games, and more! To obtain general information as well as contact information about each academy, the students can visit: www.okhighered.org. Each year the Agriculture Division of the Noble Foundation hosts an agriculturally oriented summer program called AgVenture for high school students in grades 10-12. This year the AgVenture will be from June 2-5. The deadline to apply is April 15, 2008. Applications can be obtained from Mrs. Hester or by going to AgVenture. Students will have the opportunity to get hands on experiences about grazing management, commercial fish farming, wildlife management, livestock production, vegetable production, fencing materials, pecan production, farm management and other areas of agriculture.

Any senior that might be planning on attending WOSC this summer or the fall, should attend the Admission Clinic on April 9, 10. Students will need to be at the information desk by 8:00 a.m. and students will be instructed on the enrollment procedures. Seniors wanting fall classes are strongly advised to attend on the 9th if possible. This will also work for summer enrollment.


Planning to attend the University of Oklahoma? Are you a high school student interested in medicine? Apply to be a University of Oklahoma Medical humanities scholar. If this fits you....see Mrs. Hester for the information.
Please be reminded that Seniors need to be getting your college applications in the mail! Also, it is very important that you get your housing applications in the mail also!


Sophomores-Freshmen need to sign up for OHLAP, the "Oklahoma Promise" by the end of their sophomore year.

Eight weeks of real research at the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation!
Freshman, Sophomore, or Junior interested in research or the medical field in the future! Apply to participate in this for the summer. Applications are available in Mrs. Hester's office. Students must be willing to participate beginning the first Sunday following Memorial Day---- through the next 8 weeks. This would be a wonderful opportunity for any student.
