Frederick 2nd Grade students are building Gingerbread Houses! - Innovation!
Frederick Prather Brown Elementary students are building and decorating their own Gingerbread Houses. Students used milk cartons to build their houses around using graham crackers and icing.  Students used peppermints, candy canes, marshmallows and many other candies to decorate their houses. Frederick Elementary 4th grade students are decorating for Christmas! - Cooperation!

Frederick Prather Brown Elementary has "Decked the Halls" with Christmas Cheer! - Cooperation!
In the Kindergarten each teacher worked with all of the Kindergarten students to complete one project for the hallway. Frederick Elementary Book Fair - Innovation!
The Frederick Elementary Book Fair was a huge success making $1499.78 in books for the library.

Eta Gamma Sorority donates to the FES Christmas Stocking program - Cooperation!
Eta Gamma members, Dawn Mefford and Michelle Green, present a donation to the Elementary School to be used for Christmas Stockings for each Elementary student. Accepting the donation is Joel Read and Kimberly Abbott, Elementary Principals.

Frederick Elementary Demolition uncovers history - Relationship!
At the former Frederick Elementary school site, demolition is continuing.  The Corner Stone was removed last week and a metal box with historical Masonic Lodge memorabilia was found in the stone.  A ledger containing names on it which is assumed to be Masonic members , two Masonic coins one from the Snyder Lodge dating 1902 and one from the Frederick Charter dating 1904, the Masonic Charter dated 1914, and a June 12, 1922 Frederick Leader. All of the paperwork was extremely wet and hasn't been completely examined at this time. The building was completed during the school year of 1922-1923 and the 1923 graduating class was able to use the building before graduating.

Frederick Elementary Rotary Dictionaries - Relationships!
Frederick Elementary 3rd grade students received dictionaries from the Frederick Rotary Club.  Each year the Rotarians deliver each 3rd grade student a dictionary with their name inside for the students to keep and use at school or at home. Frederick Elementary 3rd Grade Veteran's Day Musical Program - Integrity!
Frederick Elementary 3rd Grade presented a Veteran's Day program to the Community on Thursday evening in the Fine Art Auditorium and one to the Elementary School on Friday, Veterans' Day, during school.  Many traditional patriotic songs were sung and students recognized and sang to the Veterans' who were present at the programs. .  The 3rd Grade teachers are Mrs. Judy Bobo, Mrs. Booker, Mrs. Newton and Mrs. Treadwell.  The program was directed by Mrs. Jeanie Scott the Elementary Music teacher.  Many traditional patriotic songs were sung and students recognized and sang to the Veterans' who were present at the programs. Frederick Elementary School Fire Prevention Week - Cooperation!
For Fire Prevention Week student at Frederick Elementary learned about Fire Prevention from the Frederick fire Department and the Sheppard Air Force Base Fire Department.   Students were able to see a Fire truck up close and learn about the clothing that Firemen wear when they are fighting fires.  The Sheppard Air Force Base Fire Department has a traveling house that students can enter and simulate what they are supposed to do if they have a fire.  There was also a video presentation students were able to see to explaining what they should do to exit their house if they have a fire in the home. Frederick Elementary Box Tops - Cooperation!
Prather Brown winners. Frederick Elementary and Prather Brown had a contest between each class for bringing the most Box Tops for the library.  Proceeds from this competition will benefit all students in the schools by purchasing equipment for the library and teachers use in the classrooms.  Thanks to all the Grandparents, parents, aunts, uncles and friends who helped students collect the $395.90 amount of Box Tops!!! Elementary Winners. The First United Methodist Church is hosting the Pumpkin Patch for the Frederick Elementary students.  Teachers walked the students to the church and church members read a story to each class. Frederick Elementary Dome Theatre Visit - Innovation!
All of the Frederick Elementary students Kindergarten through 6th grade were treated to a visit from the Kramer Entertainment Dome Theatre.  This is a mobile planetarium offering the latest audio and visual learning technologies over a broad range of subject areas bringing the excitement of science to the students.  Students in Kindergarten through 2nd grade watched The Secret of the Cardboard Box, a movie about the planets and solar system. Grades 3rd through 6th watched Earth's Wild Ride, an animated version of imaging what it would be like to live on a lunar colony and to dream of visiting Earth? Experience the heart-pounding exhilaration of a water canyon ride near an erupting volcano, venture through an Ice Age scene with a herd of wooly mammoths and to the time of the dinosaurs as an asteroid hits!  Both movies were very exciting and educational.  This experience was funded by the Frederick Elementary Talented & Gifted Program.

Frederick Elementary weekly Rise & Shine program was presented by Mrs. Ard's 1st grade class this week.  The theme this week was Columbus Day.  Students lead the group in a song about Christopher Columbus.

Frederick Elementary Libriaries are collecting "Box Tops" - Innovation!
Frederick Elementary Pre-K through 5th grade is having a BOX TOP Competition between grade levels and buildings. A winner will be announced at the Parent Teacher conferences.  The classes turn them into the library to be recorded.

The Frederick Elementary Talented & Gifted students (grades 1 - 5) visited the Chisholm Trail Museum in Duncan Oklahoma.  Students viewed an extensive western art exhibit, watched movies depicting real life on the Chisholm Trail, learned about how a chuck wagon supplied many services on the trail as well as learning about Jessie Chisholm and why the trail was named after him.  The Frederick Elementary Talented & Gifted students (grades 1 - 5) visited the Chisholm Trail Museum in Duncan Oklahoma.  Students viewed an extensive western art exhibit, watched movies depicting real life on the Chisholm Trail, learned about how a chuck wagon supplied many services on the trail as well as learning about Jessie Chisholm and why the trail was named after him.
