Felisha Crawford called the meeting to order.  Members present were Felisha Crawford, James Heap, Bob Reid, Vinson Orr, Kristi Walker.

 

The board received bids for the $480,000 General Obligation Building Bonds and awarded the bonds to the lowest bidder who was The First National Bank in Altus in association with the Baker Group of Oklahoma City.  The winning bid was 0.75% interest on the $480,000 of bonds issued.

 

The board approved a resolution providing for the issuance of $480,000 of General Obligation Building Bonds.

 

The  board approved a resolution designating the general obligation building bonds of 2011 as “Qualified Tax-Exempt Obligations” pursuant to Section 265 (b) (3) (B) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986.

 

The board received bids for Central Grad demolition and awarded the contract to the lowest bidder which was Gil’s waste out of Lawton, OK for a total of $117,749 for two phases of demolition.

 

The board received a “Thank You” from Dana Greer of the Frederick Arts and Humanities Council for the previously donated railing to the Ramona Theater.  The Arts Council also requested the pinrail (stage curtain rod) from central grade be donated to the Ramona Theater.  The board approved the donation.

 

The board then received bids for Civil Engineering and Land Planning Services for the new building sites on the south campus.  They awarded the bid to the lowest bidder which was Grubbs Consulting, LLC.

 

The board then received bids for Geotechnical Services for the bond projects.  The contract was awarded to the lowest bidder which was Burgess Engineering and Testing, Inc.
